Zohar Behaalotcha
Numbers 8:4
“וְזֶה מַעֲשֵׂה הַמְּנֹרָה מִקְשָׁה זָהָב, עַד-יְרֵכָהּ עַד-פִּרְחָהּ מִקְשָׁה הִוא: כַּמַּרְאֶה, אֲשֶׁר הֶרְאָה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה–כֵּן עָשָׂה, אֶת-הַמְּנֹרָה”
“Now this was the workmanship of the Menorah, hammered work of gold; from its base to its flowers it was hammered work; according to the vision which YHVH had showed Moses, so he made the Menorah.”
The Menorah in the holy Tabernacle was made according to the vision God showed Moses. The Menorah was made from one unit of Gold, no attached pieces.The seven candles/lights represent the seven sefirot connecting the upper light to Zeir Anpin and Malchut in unification.
The Zohar reveals (Shemot #245) that the middle candle is the aspect of Malchut and the other six connected to it were the aspect of the six sefirot of Zeir Anpin (Chessed to Yessod), three from each side. There are some Kabbalists that ‘map’ the candles to different order of the Sefirot but the main point to understand is that the Menorah serves as channel to the Light from Binah to Malchut through Zeir Anpin.

The Menorah was very important in the process of drawing light to the world and Aaron, the High Priest, was assigned to prepare it, connect and activate it.
In Terumah #581 the Zohar reveals that the Menorah was made by itself. A human work would have corrupt the purity and ability to channel the light.
Numbers 8:2
“דַּבֵּר, אֶל-אַהֲרֹן, וְאָמַרְתָּ, אֵלָיו: בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ, אֶת-הַנֵּרֹת, אֶל-מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנוֹרָה, יָאִירוּ שִׁבְעַת הַנֵּרוֹת.”
“”Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you elevate the candles parallel to the face of the Menorah, the seven candles will give light'”
The Menorah had to be made of one unit of Gold (aspect of desire, Gevurah) in order to connect top Binah when Aaron ‘elevate’ it to connect and draw the Light through the six sefirot of Zeir Anpin to Malchut.
