Psalm 36:7
“Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O YHVH, You preserve man (אָדָם) and beast.”
He continues to ask, we read “man (אָדָם) and beast”, not “man (אִישׁ) and beast”. Even though the verse refers to a low level when comparing man to a beast. It does not say man ‘אִישׁ’ as we read in Exodus 11:7
“But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man (אִישׁ) or beast, that you may know that YHVH does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’”
The highest level in this world is אדם and the lowest is a beast.
The style that the Torah uses is to refer to the highest before the lowest as we read in 1 Kings 5:13
(In the English Bible translation appears in 1 Kings 4:33)
“Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.”

Genesis 2:5
“before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For YHVH God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground;”
He asks, what is the importance of mentioning the name “man אדם”.
Rabbi Aba answers that everything in this world was created and exists for man אדם. For that reason, nothing was grown until man (אדם, Adam) was created. Creation was in suspended animation until man became a living part of it.
Genesis 2:7
“And YHVH God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.”
The creation of the world was made with the name ‘אֱלֹהִים’, but when it came to creating man, both aspects of the name of God “יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים” came together to create man אדם and give him perfection that includes everything in creation.
