Come and see: on Rosh Hashanah, Adam was born. “On Rosh Hashanah” is certainly a secret above and below — in Zeir Anpin and Nukva who are called the supernal Adam, and in the Adam below. For there is a Rosh Hashanah above, that is the secret of Zeir Anpin and Nukva at the time that they are in judgment, and there is a Rosh Hashanah below, that is Rosh Hashanah in time, which is the sixth day of the creation of the world, on which the lower Adam was created. And he informs us by this that Adam was created in the secret of judgment, for he was created on the Rosh Hashanah below, which is drawn from the aspect that corresponds to it above, that is from the Rosh Hashanah above, which is Zeir Anpin and Nukva at the time of judgment, as above.
On Rosh Hashanah, the barren women are remembered. From where do we know that it was on Rosh Hashanah? And he says that it is written, “וַיהוָה פָּקַד אֶת שָׂרָה” “And YHVH remembered Sarah” (Genesis 21:1). And the “And YHVH” in the verse is exact, to show that the remembering was on Rosh Hashanah, for every place where it says “And YHVH” points to Zeir Anpin and His court, which is the secret of the Rosh Hashanah above.
And because Adam was born on Rosh Hashanah, he was born in judgment, and the world then stands in judgment. And therefore certainly “sin crouches at the opening,” which is the Angel of Death as above, in order to collect from you. And toward you is the desire of the Angel of Death to punish you until he destroys you.
Notes:
Adam was created on Rosh Hashanah, which corresponds above to Zeir Anpin and Nukva in judgment. Therefore, man and the world stand in judgment, and the Angel of Death crouches at the opening of Malchut ready to exact payment.

“And you shall rule over him” (Genesis 4:7) — it is a secret, as it is written, “וְאַתָּה מְחַיֶּה אֶת כֻּלָּם” “And You give life to them all” (Nehemiah 9:6). From here they said that the Holy One, blessed be He, does not rule except at the time that the wicked of the world will be destroyed. And about this, once the Angel of Death will destroy them, then the Holy One, blessed be He, rules over him so that he will not go out to harm the world, as it is written, “And you shall rule over him” (through repentance). And “you” is exact.
Notes:
“You shall rule over him” points to the Holy One, blessed be He, who gives life to all. After the wicked are destroyed, He rules over the Angel of Death so that he can no longer harm the world. Through repentance, a person also rules over that force.
