Daily Zohar 5281

#212
Come and see: there is an upper firmament that is closed, above these seven firmaments, which is the secret of Binah of Atzilut. And this is the firmament that leads them and shines to all of them. And it is not known, that is its three upper ones, which are the secret of Abba and Imma. And it stands in a question, which is not known (לא אתידע), that is its seven lower ones, which are the secret of Yisrael Saba and Tevunah. Because it is closed and deep, and all wonder at it. And because of this it is called “מי” “Who”; that is, its seven lower ones, as they have explained it, as it is written, “מִבֶּטֶן מִי יָצָא הַקָּרַח” “From whose womb came the ice?” (Job 38:29). And this has been explained. This is the upper firmament that stands above all seven firmaments.
Notes:
Above the seven firmaments stands the closed firmament of Binah of Atzilut. Its three upper ones are Abba and Imma, and its seven lower ones are Yisrael, Saba, and Tevunah, called “מי” “Who,” because they are closed and deep. This firmament leads and shines to all the others.
#213
And there is a firmament below, that is Malchut, which is the lowest of all of them, and it does not shine. And because it is lower and does not shine, that upper firmament that is upon them, which is Binah, called “מי” “Who,” joins with it. That is, the upper firmament, which is the secret of “Who,” does not shine the Chochmah to any firmament of the seven lower ones except to the lowest of them, which is Malchut. And these two letters “י” “מ” (Mem Yod) of the upper firmament called “Who,” it includes them within it, and it is called “ים” (Yam), which are the letters of “Who.”
Notes:
Malchut is the lowest firmament and does not shine by itself. Binah, called “Who,” joins with it and shines Chochmah only to it. The letters Mem Yod become Yam.
#214
Because all these other firmaments that are above the lower firmament, which are Chessed -Gevurah -Tiferet -Netzach -Hod -Yessod, become streams and enter into it. Then it becomes an upper sea, and it makes fruits and fish according to their kinds, which are the Mochin it bestows to Beriah, Yetzirah, and Asiyah. And of it David said, “זֶה הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדַיִם שָׁם רֶמֶשׂ וְאֵין מִסְפָּר חַיּוֹת קְטַנּוֹת עִם גְּדֹלוֹת” “This great and wide sea, there are creeping things without number, small living creatures with great ones” (Psalms 104:25).
Notes:
The six firmaments above Malchut become streams that enter it, and it becomes the upper sea. From it come fruits and fish, the Mochin bestowed to Beriah-Yetzirah-Asiyah, as David said of the great and wide sea.
