“And He said: ‘What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood (דְּמֵי) crieth unto Me from the ground.”
The Zohar explains that ‘Blood’s’ דְּמֵי has the numerical value of ‘דן’ , which is the aspect of judgment that was left after the killing of Abel (See DZ 864). Another aspect of the ‘crying blood’ is the future 600 thousands souls that will come from Abel and will suffer in exile. It is described in the promise of God to Abraham at the time of the covenant.
Genesis 15:14
“and also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge (דָּן); and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”
Brother’s blood is also the aspect of the spilled blood after the sin of the Golden Calf that was caused by the negative side, Erev Rav and from Cain’s seeds.
Exodus 32:27
“And he said unto them: ‘Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Put ye every man his sword upon his thigh, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.’”
Rabbi Elazar askes “If we know that from Cain’s line would come chaos and hardship in the last exile so why it is said (Gen 4:1) “’I have gotten a man of YHVH” and answer that Eve saw that there will be positive coming from Cain’s seed. That was Jethro that left the worship of the other side and connected to YHVH when he came to Moses (Abel) in the wilderness.
