Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -1032

Tikkun 5 – 6

Exodus 8:3
“ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ-כֵן הַחַרְטֻמִּים, בְּלָטֵיהֶם ”
“And the magicians did in like manner with their secret arts ”

The leaders of the Erev Rav that made the Golden Calf were those ‘Magicians’, Yonos and Yambrus that tried to control the powers of Moses in Egypt. They were the sons of Balaam who was the adviser for Pharaoh. When they realized that Moses is supported by a powerful God they converted and accepted circumcision so they can come with the Israelites.

Exodus 14:19
“ וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים, הַהֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיֵּלֶךְ, מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם; וַיִּסַּע עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן, מִפְּנֵיהֶם, וַיַּעֲמֹד, מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם ”
“And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them ”

This verse, that is the first of the three that forms the 72 names, tells us that the angel of God was leading the camp of the Israelites and not the Erev Rav. The Zohar revels to us that when the Torah mentions the children of Israel it excludes the Erev Rav. When it says ‘the Nation’ then it refers to the Erev Rav.

The Erev Rav was jealous because they didn’t have God leading them and asked Aaron to make them a God to follow.

Exodus 32:1
“ וַיַּרְא הָעָם, כִּי-בֹשֵׁשׁ מֹשֶׁה לָרֶדֶת מִן-הָהָר; וַיִּקָּהֵל הָעָם עַל-אַהֲרֹן, וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלָיו קוּם עֲשֵׂה-לָנוּ אֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר יֵלְכוּ לְפָנֵינוּ”
“And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him: ‘Up, make us a god who shall go before us;”

The Zohar teaches us that the Erev Rav is the aspect of the corpse that should not be connected to the Tree of Life. God knew the seed of the Erev Rav converted for selfish reasons and at the wrong time for the Israelites, they corrupted their connection to the Tree of Life, which was the first Torah that Moses brought down and broke because of the sin of the Golden Calf.

Moses accepted their conversion because his role in the main tikun of Adam was to rectify the lost seeds during the 130 years he was away from Eve and had relation with a negative entity from the other side.

Moses thought that with the power of the Torah they would be corrected and all could arrive to the Promised Land for a Final Redemption.

God’s plan was different and the Israelites had to go through a longer process. Now after we went through a long suffering and came closer to the Final Redemption we should be careful to not let the negative side or Erev Rav (aspect of the corpse) hang on us and pull us down to the ground. We are the aspects of the Tree of Life and we should be as pure as possible.

Kabbalah that teaches the spiritual system gained great popularity in recent years. We see many people coming to ‘hang’ on the Tree of Life and connect to the energy of the Zohar. Many of them come with personal problems, looking for fulfillment of their selfish desires.

They Erev Rav followed Moses out of Egypt and now just before the Final Redemption they find him again in the Zohar. With their money they ‘buy’ teachers of Kabbalah and front seat in their classrooms and synagogues. The result of getting mixed with the ‘mixed multitude’ (Erev Rav) is a ‘diluted’ spirituality and weak spiritual connections. Not all the rich supporters of Kabbalah are from the Erev Rav, some of them are righteous people that channel their energy and tithing to support continuation of the light of the Zohar.

To hang on to the Tree of Life, we need to connect with our life, which means a complete transformation of ourselves. From having a desire for the self alone to have only desire to share and continue the Light. Coming to the Tree of Life with selfishness is like hanging a corpse on the Tree. The result is the opposite and sooner or later it will bring falling and death in all aspects of life.

We should stay away from people of the Erev Rav who wish to drain our energy. They are like dead corpses trying to suck life from us.
We should hang on to the Zohar because it is our connection to the Tree of Life.
