Daily Zohar # 1424 – Terumah – Great goodness
Zohar Terumah
The question word מי, ‘Who’ is numerically 50 as we explained in previous DZ and it refers to the level of Binah. The Zohar tells us that Malchut is also called מה, ‘What’. We know that the name of Zeir Anpin is called מה following the numerical value of the YHVH that represents it, יוד-הא-ואו-הא. The Zohar reveals to us that in Malchut we add the 1 א to מה and get מאה, meaning ‘a hundred’. We get to that by counting Binah as 50, plus the five Sefirot of Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach and Hod that each of them include 10 sefirot. Together we get 100, מאה. The Light of Chokmah that comes down through Binah and Zeir Anpin can be revealed only in Malchut.
Psalms 31:20
“’What’ (מָה) plenty of your goodness, that you hid in safety for those with awe to you”
The goodness to the world comes through מה. ‘Good’ ‘טוּבְ’, is the first description of the light created in the first day (Genesis 1:4).
Isaiah 63:7
“…and the great goodness (טוּב) to the house of Israel”
The Zohar explains this verse and references the ‘רַב’, ’great’ to the light of Chokmah that comes through Yessod (וּ, Vav with shurook). ‘צָפַנְתָּ’, ‘Hid in safety’ is the concealed light from the first light of creation ‘טוב’ that was saved for the righteous people.
This study brings another aspect to Terumah תרומה. The ‘Who’ מי and ,’What’ מה is the secret of the connection between Binah and Malchut.
The spiritual system of the Tree of Life is the key to all spiritual connections. This study and others of the Zohar give us the ability to add the proper consciousness into every action we do on the lower levels. It is the propeller that elevates our actions to Binah and we receive the ‘good’ Light into our lives.
