Zohar Beshalach

The Zohar reveals that when the Israelites left Egypt they experience the aspect of death and their souls were broken. Even when the angels were singing and praising the glory of God for the redemption the Israelites were still with broken spirit. When the Shechina joined the angels with singing to the Holy One Blessed be He God elevated the souls of the Israelites so they can connect to the singing of the angels and their souls healed.

Exodus 13:21
“וַיהוָה הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן, לַנְחֹתָם הַדֶּרֶךְ, וְלַיְלָה בְּעַמּוּד אֵשׁ, לְהָאִיר לָהֶם–לָלֶכֶת, יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה”
“And YHVH was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.”

God accompanied the Israelites throughout their journey from slavery to freedom in the the Holy and Promised Land.

The Israelites left Egypt when the only world they knew was in a death state. The first born that represented the root connection of the negative side to the world was dead. Now they were uprooted – from what was familiar and in their comfort zone into the unknown wilderness.
Only when the Israelites saw the Shechinah and the angels they could join the singing and connect to the life force in their souls.

Thinking about making a big change in life brings feeling of loss and hesitation in making the big step. When we have the Light in our heart and prayers (singing), we can have the certainty in positive outcome.
