Zohar Terumah
The rivers (lights) that come out of Afarsemon (level of Binah) feed the souls in the spiritual world and give them pleasures according to the level of positive actions they did in this world.
They don’t have body in this world and could get the light of Binah, which is the aspect of the upper Garden of Eden.
When Jacob came to Isaac, his father, to receive his blessings Isaac smelled the Garden of Eden from his garments. The sense of scent is spiritual because we can smell things that we can’t see. Jacob was wearing garments that came from the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 27:27
“וַיִּגַּשׁ, וַיִּשַּׁק-לוֹ, וַיָּרַח אֶת-רֵיחַ בְּגָדָיו, וַיְבָרְכֵהוּ; וַיֹּאמֶר, רְאֵה רֵיחַ בְּנִי, כְּרֵיחַ שָׂדֶה, אֲשֶׁר בֵּרְכוֹ יְהוָה”“So he came close and kissed him; and when he smelled the smell of his garments, he blessed him and said, “See, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed;”
As we learned previously, Afarsemon אֲפַרְסְמוֹן is the aspect of the upper H ה of the YHVH name.
The first three and the last two letters are the same in both word. The word Afarsemon, that represents the upper level, has the letters סמ with numerical value of 60+40 = 100. It represents completion of Light (10×10).
The second word, Apiryon, has the letter Yod י, with numerical value of 10, that represents the 10 sefirot and Light in Malchut.
Song of Songs 3:9
“אַפִּרְיוֹן, עָשָׂה לוֹ הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה–מֵעֲצֵי, הַלְּבָנוֹן”
“King Solomon made himself a palanquin of the wood of Lebanon ”
King Solomon, his name represents peace and completion, created the connection to the Light of the lower Garden of Eden that supports the souls of the righteous in this world.
King Solomon also built the first Holy Temple in Jerusalem from the wood of Lebanon. It provided the highest possible connection to the Light of Binah from this world. The Holy Temple connected the upper and lower Garden of Eden.
