Daily Zohar # 2155 – Behaalotcha – 72 names – Part 2

Hebrew translation:
37. וְעַל זֶה כָּל הָאוֹתִיּוֹת לְמַפְרֵעַ, שֶׁכָּתוּב וַיְהִי הֶעָנָן וְהַחֹשֶׁךְ. שֶׁכֵּיוָן שֶׁנִּכְנַס יִצְחָק בְּדִינָיו, לֹא קָרַב זֶה אֶל זֶה. כָּתוּב זֶה אֶל זֶה. אוֹתָם שֶׁבָּאוּ מִצַּד אַבְרָהָם לֹא קָרְבוּ זֶה לָזֶה, שֶׁהֲרֵי לֹא יָכְלוּ, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁבְּאֵר זוֹ נִדְבְּקָה בְיִצְחָק, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וַיָּאֶר אֶת הַלָּיְלָה. שֶׁכְּשֶׁהִתְמַלְּאָה לְהִתְחַבֵּר (לְהִתְחַזֵּק) בְּיִצְחָק, לֹא קָרַב זֶה אֶל זֶה וְלֹא יָכֹל לְהִתְקָרֵב, עַד שֶׁבָּא יַעֲקֹב וְהִתְחַבֵּר בְּאַבְרָהָם, וְלָקַח אֶת יִצְחָק וְשָׂם אוֹתוֹ בָּאֶמְצַע, וְאָז הִתְקַשְּׁרָה הָאֱמוּנָה זֶה בָּזֶה וְזֶה בָּזֶה, וְנִצְּלוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל.

Zohar Behaalotcha
Exodus 14:20
“וַיָּבֹא בֵּין מַחֲנֵה מִצְרַיִם, וּבֵין מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיְהִי הֶעָנָן וְהַחֹשֶׁךְ, וַיָּאֶר אֶת-הַלָּיְלָה; וְלֹא-קָרַב זֶה אֶל-זֶה, כָּל-הַלָּיְלָה”
“So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night.”
The second verse that constructs the 72 names is for Isaac, Gevurah of Zeir Anpin. It says that it came between the camp of the Egypt and the camp of Israel. Gevurah is Left column that brings down the Light of Chokmah with strong judgments for the wicked and good rewards for the righteous people.
“Thus the one did not come near the other all night”
The right column that is Chessed and it didn’t come closer to the Left that is Gevurah. The left remained with judgment and the aspect of ‘Darkness’. Malchut connected to the Left but there was no unification with the Right until Jacob, that is Central Column, came and connected to Abraham, Chessed. The Left column then was placed between the Central Column and the Right.
When the Right and the Left came together, Zeir Anpin and Malchut unified with the aspect of Chessed and the Israelites were saved from the Egyptians.
Lesson: We learn from the Zohar that the 72 names are constructed in a way that pushes away negativity for those who are not pure with their connection. The Central Column is the aspect of restriction.
