Zohar Noah
The Zohar continues with the study about our responsibility to the world around us. The 70 nations of the world have their own ‘ministers’ and the Israelites are under the control of YHVH alone. YHVH provides us with protection, and when needed he brings correction.
YHVH doesn’t let the ministers of the other nations the ‘pleasure’ of having control over the Israelites and he uses them as tools without giving them the control.
Lamentation 1:10
“The enemy has stretched out his hand Over all her precious things, For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, The ones whom You commanded That they should not enter into Your congregation.”
The above verse from Lamentation tells us that the enemy of Israel came to destroy the Holy Temple even when YHVH forbid other nations from coming to the Holy Temple.
The next three verses tell about the appearance of the angel of God with connection to the children of Israel. We read about his appearance to make miracles, to bring judgment, and to bring blessings and protection.
Exodus 14:19
“The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.”
1 Chronicles 21:16
“Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, covered with sackcloth, fell on their faces.”
Genesis 48:16
“The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; And may my name live on in them, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
Lesson:
Everything that happens to us is the outcome of our behaviour.
