Zohar Lech Lecha
Continued from previous DZ
After age 13 with the support of the Torah a person is able to overcome the force of Satan and control it.
Genesis 12:5
“Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan.”
Abram’s wife is the aspect of the body, the vessel for the soul. ‘And Lot’ is the Snake that’s always with the body, even after 13 years.
The corporeal body is where the Snake and his negative agents can hold easily.
A soul of a spiritually connected person can beat the Snake and force him to follow the desires of the soul and not the body. “and the people they had acquired in Harran”, is the aspect of corrections that the soul went through, while overcoming the influence of the Satan and the desires of the body.
Most of us live with the Snake that manipulates us to follow his will and desires. To take back control over our lives we must use the study of Torah through the Zohar to ‘beat’ the Snake and minimize its negative influence on us. With every Daily Zohar study we beat the Snake making him hide deeper in our consciousness. As long as we keep beating him with the Zohar, he stays small with minimal or no control on us.
