Ezekiel 1:3
“the word of YHVH came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and there the hand of YHVH came upon him.”

The Zohar explains that because the Israelites in Exile had the Shechina with them and they needed spiritual support, Ezekiel could see visions of heavens and prophecise. The river Chevar in the verse (Ezekiel 1:3) represents one of the four rivers coming out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:10). Because of the river the Shechina could be there and Ezekiel was able to reveal the prophecies in exile with the Israelites.

The Zohar asks about why Jacob that is the patriarch with the highest level, had only a dream and not a vision like a prophet when he was in the holy place in the holy land of Israel. That place was worthy for the revelation of the Shechina and connect to Jacob on a higher level. The answer is that at that time, Isaac was still alive and Jacob was not married. As single Jacob was not complete.

Adam was born as male and female (Genesis 1:27). Later God separated the female part from the back of Adam and brought her back to him face to face (Genesis 2:23).
As initially created, male and female are one. Because of that way we must have the aspect of male and female to receive Light from the Creator to be able to continue the light to this world and *form new things.

Since God Created us as a vessel to receive his light and benefit from it. After the sin we lost the automated connection of male and female and we must ‘earn’ the light by unifying male and female, light and vessel. Single men and women can still draw and reveal light when they create vessels with their desires and consciousness.

The Shechina is always present in the Land of Israel because this is the place where the Light flows to the entire world. Before the destruction of the Holy Temple there were schools for prophets, teaching them how to connect to the levels of Netzach and Hod and see beyond the limitations of the five senses and time.

* Everything in this world is made out of light energy and therefore we can not ‘create’ only form from what already exists.
