Daily Zohar # 3120 – Vaetchanan – ‘Whole’ and ‘Details’ in the head

Hebrew translation:
91. וּמִתּוֹךְ שֶׁנִּכְלְלוּ יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאל בְּסוֹד שֶׁל שֵׁם אֶחָד בְּדֶרֶךְ כְּלָל, צָרִיךְ אַחַר כָּךְ לְהוֹצִיא אוֹתָם בְּדֶרֶךְ פְּרָט, אֲבָל לֹא בְּדֶרֶךְ יִחוּד, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַיִּחוּד הוּא בַּפְּסוּקִים הָרִאשׁוֹנִים, לִהְיוֹת ה’ אֶחָד, בִּתְפִלִּין שֶׁל רֹאשׁ. וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד, בִּתְפִלִּין שֶׁל זְרוֹעַ. וְנִהְיָה הַכֹּל אֶחָד. כֵּיוָן שֶׁהַיִּחוּד הִסְתַּדֵּר הַכֹּל בִּכְלָל מֵרֹאשׁ הַנְּקֻדָּה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה, צָרִיךְ אַחַר כָּךְ לְהִתְעַטֵּר מֵהָרֹאשׁ שֶׁל הָאוֹר הָרִאשׁוֹן, שֶׁהוּא רֹאשׁ הַכֹּל. Rabbi Shimon says that among the four types of unifications related to the Shema Israel, the head and arm Tefillin create a supernal unification that is above all the rest.

The unification of ‘Shema’ and ‘Baruch Shem’ is the unification of the Right and Left of Da’at (See #87) with the three names of the Shema ( יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה, YHVH, ELOHENU, YHVH). The unification is revealed in the word ‘אחד’ ‘One’ that is the last word of the first line. This unification has the aspect of the ‘whole’ and after it, the Shema prayer continues with the aspect of ‘details’ that is the four paragraphs that come from three places in the Torah.
The unification of the Tefillin connects to the head to the Light of Keter that is the head of everything.
