Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #331 – Living water to the candle so it will never go out
Tikkun 21-72
The candle הנר, has the same letters as נהר, which is river. This is the river that comes out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2: 10) to water the Garden.
The connection to the river is through the precepts, Mitzvoth, that are in the Torah and they feed and support the soul.
Proverb 11:6 “וּבַאֲבֹד רְשָׁעִים רִנָּה”
“…and when the wicked perish, there is joy.”
The word here for joy has same letters as נהר, river, and it is the element that removes the wickedness from the world. This is the “energy feed” for the world and everyone, to keep our candle lit. When the candle is lit, negativity can not have a strong hold on us.
Psalms 126:2 “ אָז יִמָּלֵא שְׂחוֹק, פִּינוּ וּלְשׁוֹנֵנוּ רִנָּה”
“Then our mouth will be filled with laughter, and our tongue with joy singing” (joy = רִנָּה= הנר)
This song in Psalms has the word רִנָּה in it three times. It talks about the time when the three rivers from the Garden of Eden will fill up our vessels and remove all negativity from the body.
In Proverb 31:18 we read “טָעֲמָה, כִּי-טוֹב סַחְרָהּ לֹא-יִכְבֶּה בליל (בַלַּיְלָה) נֵרָהּ”
“her candle נֵרָהּ will not go out by night because her trade is with the Torah”
The light will always be in Malchut because of the study of Torah. That will bring the final correction and the new Jerusalem with the Holy Temple will be built.
