Zohar Naso

#98
When the Torah was given on Mount Sinai, God separated the Israelites from the Erev Rav. The Israelites were close to the Tree of Life and the following verses show that they were given special treatment. The people of the Erev Rav were ignored.
Exodus 13:18
“וַיַּסֵּב אֱלֹהִים אֶת הָעָם דֶּרֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּר יַם סוּף וַחֲמֻשִׁים עָלוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם.”
“Hence God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea; and the sons of Israel went up armed from the land of Egypt.”
The Israelites were ‘armed’ from the side of the Tree of Life when they left Egypt.
Exodus 14:19
“וַיִּסַּע מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים הַהֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵי מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֵּלֶךְ מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם וַיִּסַּע עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן מִפְּנֵיהֶם וַיַּעֲמֹד מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶם.”
“And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.”
Exodus 14:8 “וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יֹצְאִים בְּיָד רָמָה” “the people of Israel were going out defiantly”
God distinguishes the people based on their connection to the Tree of Life. It will be similar in the Final Redemption. Those who were connected to the study of the Torah as high as possible will be rewarded and protected accordingly.

#99
Exodus 19:17
“וַיּוֹצֵא מֹשֶׁה אֶת הָעָם לִקְרַאת הָאֱלֹהִים מִן הַמַּחֲנֶה וַיִּתְיַצְּבוּ בְּתַחְתִּית הָהָר.”
“And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.”
The Israelites stood close to the mountain (Sinai) to receive the Torah. The Zohar reveals that God gave them an option. If they accept the Torah, it will be good for them and if not, he will bury them under the mountain.
It will be the same when we arrive at the Final Redemption, those who will be close to Torah scholars will enjoy the light that will be revealed at that time. If they are not, then they will end their lives in exile.

Lesson;
The revelation of the Torah on Mount Sinai has the aspect of the Final Redemption. The Israelites followed Moses and came closer to the mountain, ready to receive the Torah that is the aspect of the Light of Immortality. This light was lost because of the sin of the Golden Calf but will be revealed again in the Final Redemption.
The Zohar and Rabbi Shimon is our Moses that we follow to bring us closer to the ‘mountain’ of Light that is the Zohar.
Rabbi Shimon was called ‘Sinai’ because of the Light he revealed and continue revealing in the world. It is done through the studies and teachings of great Kabbalists like the Holy Ari, and Rabbi Ashlag that we follow his teachings in the Daily Zohar studies. When we are close to the Zohar, we are closer to the Light of the Final Redemption.
Studying the Zohar earns us ‘front row tickets’ by the ‘mountain’ to receive the Light of Immortality in the Final Redemption.
