.

Zohar Vayera

#122
Elijah also added that when a plague hits the people, a covenant was made with all the armies of heavens that if the children of Israel gather in synagogues and places of study in the land, and recite the Ketoret with pure heart and soul, the plague would be canceled.

#123
Rabbi Yitzchak says that when Moses told Aaron to take the fire-pan from the Altar and put Ketoret, Aaron asked why, and Moses answered “for there is wrath gone out from YHVH the plague has begun”. Then it is written Numbers 17:13 “וַיַּעֲמֹד בֵּין הַמֵּתִים וּבֵין הַחַיִּים וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָה.”
“And he stood between the dead and the living, and the plague stopped”
Because of the Ketoret, the angel of death lost his power and the plague stopped.

#124
This paragraph connects to the few paragraphs and will be explained in the next study of Vayera.

Lesson;
The power of the Ketoret to block negativity is mentioned in many places in the Zohar. We recite it at the beginning of the morning prayer and before its end to protect the entire prayer from negativity. We also read the Ketoret in the afternoon prayer to block the forces of judgments that come in the afternoon and grow in strength toward the night time.

Every word in the Torah conceals different light and force that benefits us. The Daily Zohar has weekly portions available for download with the Hebrew and translation to English. B”H with more time and budget we will be able to provide the portions with translations to Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Here is a copy of my personal Ketoret written on parchment.
