Zohar Shemot

#89
Rabbi Elazar, Rabbi Aba, and Rabbi Yossi were walking from the city to Tiberia to the city of Tzipori. While they were walking they saw a Jew. He opened and said; Isaiah 19:1
“The burden against Egypt. Behold, YHVH rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.”
All kings and nations of the world have no significance for the Holy One Blessed be He, as it is written; Daniel 4:32
“All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?”
There was a difference between the way the Holy One Blessed be He dealt with Egypt and the other nations. With the other nations of the world, Hashem made a decree and it was done. With Egypt, even after he revealed his force through the different plagues that he inflicted on them, he appeared by himself for the final step before taking the Israelites out of Egypt, as it is written;
Exodus 12:12
“‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am YHVH”

He explained that Hashem came by himself like a King comes to take out his queen from there. The Holy One Blessed be He wanted to honor his queen and came to give her a hand, and raise her. This is what would happen at the end of the last exile of Edom.

Lesson;
The Israelites are the children of YHVH (Deuteronomy 14:1) because they are close to him through the Torah.
Since the destruction of the second Holy Temple, we are in the Final exile that is called the exile of Edom. The last exile is the longest and the hardest because we were scattered all over the world, far from the source of Light that is in the Holy Land. The work that we need to do through this long exile is to reveal and elevate sparks of Light that were lost after the destruction of the Holy Temple. The Holy Temple could purify our actions and maintain a continuous flow of Light.
Since the Shechina is always with us, the Holy One Blessed be He would come at the end of the exile to raise his queen from the ‘dust’ of the exile and come back to dwell with him in the Holy Temple.
