Songs 5:2
“אֲנִי יְשֵׁנָה וְלִבִּי עֵר קוֹל דּוֹדִי דוֹפֵק פִּתְחִי לִי אֲחֹתִי רַעְיָתִי יוֹנָתִי תַמָּתִי שֶׁרֹּאשִׁי נִמְלָא טָל קְוֻצּוֹתַי רְסִיסֵי לָיְלָה.”
“I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, “Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.”
The Congregation of Israel said “I sleep”, which is the aspect of the exile in Egypt. This exile was when the Left controlled the Right, and caused the judgments from the Left caused Malchut to lose its Mochin. This is the aspect of ‘Sleep’ and the bondage that the Israelites experienced in Egypt.
“my heart is awake” is the aspect of protection so they won’t end in exile.
“My beloved knocks” is the Holy One Blessed be He that remembers the covenant he made with Abraham.

“Open for me” is Hashem’s request to open a small opening so He can open for us the supernal gates. “Open for me, my sister” is to tell us that the opening is in Malchut where the Shechina can make the opening for the King that his gates are not known to us, but the Shechina can do it.
When King David wanted to enter the palace of the King, he said; Psalms 118:19,20
“פִּתְחוּ לִי שַׁעֲרֵי צֶדֶק אָבֹא בָם אוֹדֶה יָהּ”
“זֶה הַשַּׁעַר לַיהוָה צַדִּיקִים יָבֹאוּ בוֹ.”
“Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise YH.”
“This is the gate of YHVH, Through which the righteous shall enter.”
“gates of righteousness” are the gates in Malchut that the Shechina use to connect to the upper levels that are the aspect of YH (the ‘Head’) from the name YHVH.
“This is the gate of YHVH” to find and hold to it “For my head is covered with dew”. The ‘dew’ is ‘טל’, numerically 39 and represents the ‘head’ ‘YHV’ “יוד-הא-ואו” of Zeir Anpin. With the unification, the ‘dew/טל’ flows down and brings eternal life and peace to Malchut.
Lesson;
Without us making a small opening in the world below, the upper gates stay closed and we can’t receive Light of fulfillment.
The Resurrection of the dead would happen when a ‘dew’ comes down from the heavens to this world. This is the aspect of the final unification of YHV with the H of Malchut. Until then we must open gates with our studies and prayers.
