#272
He asks; who are the ‘jewels’ in “וְכַכַּלָּה תַּעְדֶּה כֵלֶיהָ” “ as a bride adorned herself with her jewels,” and answers that Israel is the ‘jewels’ of the bride that is the Shechinah.
Israel that experience troubles and distress will re-establish a connection to the Shechina as it is written;
Amos 9:11
“בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אָקִים אֶת סֻכַּת דָּוִיד הַנֹּפֶלֶת וְגָדַרְתִּי אֶת פִּרְצֵיהֶן וַהֲרִסֹתָיו אָקִים וּבְנִיתִיהָ כִּימֵי עוֹלָם.”
“On that day, I will raise up The tabernacle (Sukkah) of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old;”
The other nations who inflicted troubles on the children of Israel when they were among them will go through what the prophet describes in Jeremiah 30:11 “I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have scattered you.” Israel will be saved from this process because they already experienced continuous hardship during exile.

#273
“וְיִסַּרְתִּיךָ לַמִּשְׁפָּט” “I will correct you (with pain) with justice.” The Zohar explains that the pain is experienced during the process of justice, as it is written; Isaiah 3:14
“יְהוָה בְּמִשְׁפָּט יָבוֹא עִם זִקְנֵי עַמּוֹ וְשָׂרָיו,” “YHVH will enter into judgment With the elders of His people And His princes.”
The Holy One Blessed be He provides remedies for Israel before they stand for judgment. The remedies are the pain they experience little by little, in different times, and in every generation, so when they arrive at the great day of trial, which is at the time of the Resurrection, they will be under no judgment.

Lesson;
Our iniquities and sins put blemishes on our souls; These blemishes need to be corrected. It can be done at the time of the resurrection when every soul is judged for its merits to come back to life. The Holy One Blessed be He gives us the gift of having our corrections done before the great day of judgment so when we arrive at that day, we can show merits with little or no judgments. Those who have no faith and no merits would be destroyed.
Accepting the pain that we go through in life helps us cleanse our soul and be ready for the final rewards of Resurrection and immortality. Since we don’t know how many corrections we carry from previous lives, rejecting the pain is like pushing away the correction. It’s better to pay now than carry heavy debts that may crash us at the most critical moment of our soul existence. Many righteous pray to have their correction completed before they pass away.
