The head of the sea-serpent is red as a rose, whose red hue indicates judgments drawn from Binah. Its scales are as hard as iron, like the essence of Malchut is called iron that is the secret of the attribute of judgments. With his wings that are his fins, he goes to all the streams mentioned above. When he raises his tail that is his level of Malchut, he inflicts judgment by hitting and kicking the other fish. No one can stand in his way because wherever he touches, he awakens the aspect of judgment.

The mouth of the sea-serpent is a fiery fire. When he swims in all these streams, meaning, when he draws Chokmah from above to below like the streams, the other fish there are shocked. They fear that the sea-serpent will discover the point of judgment in them, so they flee from there to the sea, which is Malchut of the Holy side.
Once every seventy years, he lies in the 499 and a half streams on the Right and completes the missing half on the right. Then once every seventy years, he lies in the 499 and a half on the Left and completes the missing half on the Left.
The sea-serpent is built from the two halves. The 1000 streams that are missing one become complete by him. The seventy years represent the seven lower sefirot, and in the last year that is Malchut of Malchut, the sea-serpent, he lies in them and completes them.

When he swims in the streams, a fire flame comes out in the Klipot, meaning that the point of judgment is revealed in him. Then the streams raise their waves up and down in the aspect of rage. The streams get mixed, and their color turns blue, tending to black, which is the color of Malchut. The wheels of the Holy Chariot move above to four directions, and as they move, they continue the Light of the upper three sefirot. The sea-serpent raises his tail, hits the wheels above, and damages them. Then hit the streams below, and all fled from him.

Lesson;
The sea-serpent (תנין-Tanin) in the Nile river represents the force of the other side that supports Egypt. In #104 above, we read that Hashem instructed Moses and Aaron to show their abilities and control by throwing the rod of Aaron to the ground and turning it into a Tanin, a sea-serpent. This would tell Pharaoh that they could rule over the force of Egypt.
Hashem told Moses and Aaron what would happen before they faced Pharaoh. After Aaron threw his rod to the ground and made a Tanin, the Egyptian wizards did their magic and could create serpents as Moses and Aaron did. They drew their power from the lower level, while Moses and Aaron received their ability from Hashem, superior to all other forces. To prove that, Aaron’s rod swallowed the Egyptians’ rods.
Nowadays, the forces of Sat-n are strong in this world. They ‘play’ with people’s minds and affect those who don’t have a connection to the Light, and the ‘serpents’ can rule them by the illusions they impose on them. Only those connected to the Light of Hashem through the studies of the sacred text can swallow the serpents and not be affected by the darkness they try to impose on this world.
