Zohar Acharei Mot
Continued from previous DZ
#96
And all those who are not righteous in this world, even up in the heavens, before they come into the world, turn away from the Holy One Blessed be He, enter the hole of the great abyss, and rush to descend into the world. And as we learned, their soul is stubborn in this world, as it was before coming into this world. The holy part which the Holy One Blessed be He has given them, they throw it away, and go and wander and defile in that hole of the great abyss. They take their impure part from there and rush to descend into the world. If later the soul has merits and repents before her master, the holy part that was abandoned when the soul was still in the heavens is returning back as we read in Ecclesiastes 3:15
“מַה שֶּׁהָיָה כְּבָר הוּא וַאֲשֶׁר לִהְיוֹת כְּבָר הָיָה וְהָאֱלֹהִים יְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת נִרְדָּף.”
“That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been, And God requires an account of what is past.”

#97
There were no people in Israel like the sons of Aaron except Moses and Aaron. They were called the nobles of the children of Israel, and because they made mistakes before the Holy King, they died. He asks, did the Holy One Blessed be He wanted to lose them. In the secret of the Mishnah, we have learned that the Holy One, Blessed be He, acts with mercy, Chessed, with everyone, and he doesn’t want to lose even the wicked of the world. Nadav and Avihu were truly righteous. Can we imagine that they were removed from the world? Where is the count of their merits, and where are the merits of their ancestors, and also the merits of Moses. And how come they die.

Lesson;
We should know that there is a reason for everything happening in this world. If we don’t understand the events unfolding around us, we should remember that Hashem is in control, as we read in Proverbs 19:21
“רַבּוֹת מַחֲשָׁבוֹת בְּלֶב אִישׁ וַעֲצַת יְהוָה הִיא תָקוּם.”
“There are many plans in a man’s heart. Nevertheless, YHVH’s counsel will stand.”
When we read and understand the confusing words of King Solomon, “And what is to be has already been,” we realize that Hashem controls the past, present, and future.

In the following paragraphs, the Zohar explains the secret of the death of Nadav and Avihu.
