The counting of the Omer for seven-week and the counting of seven pure days for the woman is for the purpose of purification with the supernal holy water that is the Light of Binah. This process is done to connect to the king, Zeir Anpin, and receive the Torah.

After her impurity period (Nida), a woman counts for seven days. The counting of the Omer requires seven Shabbats. He asks, why do we need to count seven Shabbats here. And answer that it is required to merit purification in the river’s waters that is Binah. The Light of Binah is called living water, and the seven sefirot that come out of Binah are called Shabbats. Each of them has its own individual seven Sefirot, and together they are 49 in the secret of the 49 gates of Binah. For that reason, the counting of the Omer is set to seven complete weeks from Passover to Shavuot to merit the connection to the Torah. It is a process similar to a woman that unites with her husband after seven pure days.

“וּבְרֶדֶת הַטַּל עַל הַמַּחֲנֶה לָיְלָה יֵרֵד הַמָּן עָלָיו.”
“And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.”
It is written, “and the dew fell on the camp at night.” It is not written, “and the dew fell at night,” but “fell on the camp.” Because the dew represents the abundance that descends from a point, which is Chokmah, on the 49 days in Binah, which are called ‘camp.’ Together with them, Binah connects with the Holy King, who is Zeir Anpin. The dew with the manna came down when Israel approached Mount Sinai on Shavuot. The dew came down in perfection and purified Israel. The impurities caused by the Snake and the sin of the Tree of Knowledge ceased.
They connected to the King and the Congregation of Israel and received the Torah. At that time, the rivers that are the abundance of Light from the Sefirot of Zeir Anpin flow to Malchut, which is called the ‘Sea.’ Malchut then reaches the level of face-to-face with Zeir Anpin, the Holy King. All are united and bonded together in the center column, which is the aspect of Shavuot.
