Zohar Balak
Continued from previous DZ
#361
The boy opened and said, Master of the world, it is written in the Torah;
Deuteronomy 22:6
“כִּי יִקָּרֵא קַן צִפּוֹר לְפָנֶיךָ בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּכָל עֵץ אוֹ עַל הָאָרֶץ אֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ בֵיצִים וְהָאֵם רֹבֶצֶת עַל הָאֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ עַל הַבֵּיצִים לֹא תִקַּח הָאֵם עַל הַבָּנִים.”
“If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young.”
The child was shouting and crying, saying, Lord of the world, keep the words of the Torah. We were two children to my father and mother, my younger sister and me, and are to be taken first to keep the words in the Torah, which is written: “send the mother and you take the sons.”
And if you say, Lord of the world, it is written, mother and not father, my mother died, and you took her away from her children, now also my father who was protecting us, taken from his children, where is the law of the Torah. Rabbi Elazar and the friends also cried because of the cries and shouts of that child.

#362
Rabbi Elazar quotes;
Proverbs 25:3
“שָׁמַיִם לָרוּם וָאָרֶץ לָעֹמֶק וְלֵב מְלָכִים אֵין חֵקֶר.”
“As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.”
While Rabbi Elazar was saying this scripture, a pillar of fire separated them from the deceased. The boy’s mouth was stuck on his father’s mouth, and they were not separated.

Rabbi Elazar said, now the pillar of fire has ceased, it could be that the Holy One, Blessed be He, wants to perform a miracle and revive him, or that he doesn’t want another person to engage in caring for Rabbi Yossi, and I cannot endure the cries of that child and his tears.

Lesson;
The child brought a strong case against Hashem’s judgment for taking his father’s life. Because Hashem judges his world according to the Torah laws, there should be a proper answer to the child.
Rabbi Elazar and his friends witnessed the event on a spiritual level and expected an extraordinary outcome because a pillar of fire represents an opening to the upper world.
The mouth is the aspect of Malchut, and the child kept his mouth locked on his father’s mouth to connect his soul with his father’s and keep the father in a continuous connection to this world.
