Another interpretation. Sarah was sitting at the entrance to the tent to hear what was being said. She heard the message that Abraham was told about. And so it says, “And Sarah was listening in the tent’s door, and he was behind,” that is, Abraham was sitting behind the Shechinah.

Genesis 18:11
“וְאַבְרָהָם וְשָׂרָה זְקֵנִים בָּאִים בַּיָּמִים חָדַל לִהְיוֹת לְשָׂרָה אֹרַח כַּנָּשִׁים.”
“Now Abraham and Sarah were old (literal ‘coming in the days’), well advanced in age, and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.”
He asked what is “coming in the days” and said it meant the end of their days, which were appropriate for them then, Abraham was one hundred years old, and Sarah was ninety years old.
“Coming in the days,” as we say, the evening comes, to mean the end of the day. And here Abraham and Sarah were at the end of their days.

“and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.” (Genesis 18:11). As she heard the message, Sarah saw herself in a different light because she felt her menstrual cycle return. She said, “My master, my husband is old”, because she didn’t think Abraham could have children at his age. She didn’t say the same about herself because she felt the rejuvenation in her body.
