Zohar Chayei Sarah
Continued from previous DZ

Psalm 65:5
“Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he will dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy Temple.”

#127
He who sanctifies himself and guards himself in this world so he won’t be defiled, his dwelling in the upper world would be among the supreme saints. He always does the missions of the Holy One Blessed be He. They stand in the courtyard, as the “courtyard of the Tabernacle” (Exodus 27:9) . And on them, it is written, “Blessed…dwell in Your courts”.

#128
And there are others who are more in the inner levels, not in the courtyard but inside the house; as king David said, “We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house.” It is written (in future tense), “he will dwell in Your courts,” so it should be written, “he shall be satisfied….”
We have learned that there is no sitting in the courtyard of the Holy Temple except for the kings of the House of David. And so David spoke for himself and the other kings in this Psalm, “We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.”

#129
And there is a place for the supreme righteous who enter into the deeper levels: the aspect of the inner palace in the Temple. Who are they? They are as it is written;
Numbers 3:38
“Moreover, those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east….”
And about them, it is said, “Your holy temple.” And how many sections upon sections and lights upon lights differ from each other in that world; each one is ashamed of his light compared to his friend. Because just as the good deeds differ between each person in this world, so do their dwelling places, and lights differ in the upper world.

Lesson;
The east side of the Tabernacle is the side of Chessed, where the Light from the upper level comes first to the world. It was the side where Moses and the priests camped during the journeys in the wilderness.
The Zohar referenced this verse to indicate that the righteous earn merits to have a proper place in the ‘palace’ of Hashem.
