Daily Zohar 4105

Because the Shechina does not have a presence outside the Holy Land, it was said, “there is no fear of God in this place.” Because “fear of God” means the Shechina had no place where he was. Isaac was strengthened in the faith that the Shechinah was within his wife.
The Holy One, Blessed be He, waits a long time to punish the wicked. Because of the good that Abimelech did with the first patriarchs, Israel did not rule the Philistines until later in the last generations.
Abimelech did good to Isaac, saying to Abraham, “Here is my land before you; you may settle anywhere you like.” Because this statement also revolves around Abraham, his promise was also kept for Isaac. Rabbi Elazar praises him for fulfilling his promise.
Hashem rewards every living person for their good deeds in this world, especially if they do good to his people, the children of Israel.
