Zohar Vayishlach
Continued from previous DZ
Genesis 33:14
“יַעֲבָר נָא אֲדֹנִי לִפְנֵי עַבְדּוֹ וַאֲנִי אֶתְנָהֲלָה לְאִטִּי לְרֶגֶל הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר לְפָנַי וּלְרֶגֶל הַיְלָדִים עַד אֲשֶׁר אָבֹא אֶל אֲדֹנִי שֵׂעִירָה.”
“Please let my lord go on ahead before his servant. I will lead on slowly at a pace which the livestock that goes before me, and the children, are able to endure until I come to my lord in Seir.”
#129
He asks what work Jacob was referring to when saying, “For the sake of the work before me,” and answers, this is the mirror that does not illuminate, which is the Nukva of Zeir Anpin; that is where all the work of the world is done. “Before me” is the Nukva that is everywhere, and before the Holy One, that is Zeir Anpin.
“For the sake of the children” is the secret of the Cherubs that Jacob was clinging to because they channel the upper light to sustain The Nukva, Malchut.
Lesson;
Malchut is called “the mirror that does not illuminate” because the Light in this world, Malchut, is revealed only by our actions. Even the ‘physical’ light of the sun is not seen unless it is reflected by another object. The sun’s light travels great distances, yet it is not seen unless it collides with another object.
Jacob knew the spiritual system and worked to connect to the light source and bring it to this world. That is why he became a chariot to the center line, Zeir Anpin, of the Tree of Life. The center line channels the Light from the upper levels to Malchut.
#130
Jacob said, “Until I come,” meaning, “I will endure your exile until my time comes and it is time to rule on Mount Esau.” As it is written, “ And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau, and the kingdom shall be HaShem’s” (Obadiah 1:21).

Genesis 33:17
“וְיַעֲקֹב נָסַע סֻכֹּתָה וַיִּבֶן לוֹ בָּיִת וּלְמִקְנֵהוּ עָשָׂה סֻכֹּת עַל כֵּן קָרָא שֵׁם הַמָּקוֹם סֻכּוֹת.”
“And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, built himself a house, and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
Psalm 127:1
“שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת לִשְׁלֹמֹה אִם יְהוָה לֹא יִבְנֶה בַיִת שָׁוְא עָמְלוּ בוֹנָיו בּוֹ אִם יְהוָה לֹא יִשְׁמָר עִיר שָׁוְא שָׁקַד שׁוֹמֵר.”
”A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless YHVH builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless YHVH guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
Rabbi Chiyah quotes the verse above and says, when the will of the Holy One Blessed be, He arose to create the world, that is, to build the Nukva, called the world, he took one bond out of the strong spark, that is the secret of the curtain, (מסך, Masach). This bond is the center line that connects the Right and the Left to each other. This line was ‘ignited’ in the state of darkness that was at the beginning of Creation and illuminate with the Light of Chokmah that went down in hundred of thin paths that became large paths when joined in the middle lines to make the Light to build the Nukva, that is the house of the world.
Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, and support the Daily Zohar projects, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
