Daily Zohar # 3218 – Vayeshev – Just as he interpreted to us, so it happened
Due to my mistake, I skipped the commentary for paragraphs 83,84 that were supposed to be in yesterday’s study. I brought them here together with paragraphs 85, 86, 87 that were intended for today’s study.
Sorry about that. In any event, the sages teach us that repeating a study expands our vessel and understanding (=more light).
“וַיֹּאמֶר שִׁמְעוּ נָא דְבָרָי אִם יִהְיֶה נְבִיאֲכֶם יְהוָה בַּמַּרְאָה אֵלָיו אֶתְוַדָּע בַּחֲלוֹם אֲדַבֶּר בּוֹ.”
“He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, YHVH, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream.”
All prophets in the world drew from the leaves of Netzach and Hod. These levels are seen in a vision that doesn’t have light, which is Malchut as it says “I will make Myself known to him in a vision”.
Malchut doesn’t have the light of its own but can reveal the light from the three columns of Zeir Anpin that included in her.
The dream is the sixth level below the level of prophecy. The angel Gabriel is appointed on delivering the dreams that speak one of sixty parts of prophecy.
Every dream that comes from the level of the angel Gabriel, include false images and messages. There are no dreams that don’t have from both sides, truth, and lies.
Since every dream has truth and lies, the dream is manifested according to the interpretation given to it.
“וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר פָּתַר לָנוּ כֵּן הָיָה אֹתִי הֵשִׁיב עַל כַּנִּי וְאֹתוֹ תָלָה.”
“And just as he interpreted to us, so it happened; he restored me in my office, but he hanged him.”
This verse said by the chief butler of Pharaoh, telling him that the outcome of their dreams came as Joseph interpreted.
The words expressed by the dream interpretation control it and determined its manifestation.
Rabbi Yehuda says that every dream is from the level of the angel Gabriel, and speaking is an aspect of the female, Malchut. Since Malchut controls the angels, every dream needs a good interpretation.
“בַּחֲלוֹם חֶזְיוֹן לַיְלָה בִּנְפֹל תַּרְדֵּמָה עַל אֲנָשִׁים בִּתְנוּמוֹת עֲלֵי מִשְׁכָּב.”
“In a dream, a vision of the night, When sound sleep falls on men, While they slumber in their beds,”
When a person goes to bed, he needs to accept the kingdom of heaven, then say a verse of mercy because his soul leaves the body and goes up on a path that is appropriate for her. The preparation for sleep is important in preparing the soul on its way up. (See Bedtime Shema)
Never tell your dreams to random people! If you can’t find a true kabbalist to interpret your dreams don’t tell it. If you feel that the dream is positive, write it down with what you expect from it to happen positively. Putting your words in writings would be a form of manifestation. If the dream is negative or scary just say “Dreams tell lies” and forget it.
