Daily Zohar # 4356 – Beresheet – There is no God besides Me

The words “Let us make a man” was said to two, to include the one above because one level does nothing except with permission and action from the one above it. The one above him does nothing until he takes advice from his friend above who is called the cause of all causes, because there is none equal to him above or below him, as it is said;
Isaiah 40:25
“וְאֶל מִי תְדַמְּיוּנִי וְאֶשְׁוֶה יֹאמַר קָדוֹשׁ.”
“To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.”
Every level in the world of Atzilut said “Let us make a man” to the level above it, and that level ask the one above it. Every new emanation from Atzilut comes from the Endless, blessed be He and evolve on the path down until it reaches its place. We learn that a lower becomes “A man” for the one above it, when receiving the soul to transfer to the lower ones. There is no level above the level that is called “Cause of all causes” as it is written;
Deuteronomy 32:39
“רְאוּ עַתָּה כִּי אֲנִי אֲנִי הוּא וְאֵין אֱלֹהִים עִמָּדִי אֲנִי אָמִית וַאֲחַיֶּה מָחַצְתִּי וַאֲנִי אֶרְפָּא וְאֵין מִיָּדִי מַצִּיל.”
“‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God (אֱלֹהִים ELHYM) besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.”

The friends stood up and said, Rabbi, give us permission to speak in this place. They said, didn’t you explain previously that the cause of causes said to Keter, “Let’s make a man?” He said to them, listen to your words, the “cause of causes” is not the same as the “cause of all causes,” which is above all, and has no second to take advice from him. He is one before all and has no partner.
