#254
And he answered, “Come and see, the Holy King left His palace and His house in the hands of the Matronita (Lady of the house), who is Malchut and left His children with her, to lead them, to discipline them, and to stay among them. If they are worthy, the Matronita enters joyfully and with honor to the King. And if they are not worthy, she and they are returned to exile. And as we have established, as it is said,
Proverbs 19:26
“מְשַׁדֶּד אָב יַבְרִיחַ אֵם בֵּן מֵבִישׁ וּמַחְפִּיר”
“He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.”
Because of that, she is driven into exile. And it is written,
Isaiah 50:1
“Thus says YHVH: “Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce? Whom have I put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? For your iniquities, you have sold yourselves, And for your transgressions, your mother has been put away.”

And therefore, one day a year to oversee them and examine their actions. When that day arrives, the Supernal Mother, which is Binah, in whose hands all freedom lies—that is, the Mochin of the illumination of CHokmah dressed in Chessed, which is the secret of freedoms that disperse and subdue all the Klipot. Binah comes forth on that day to look upon them, that is, to bestow upon them. And Israel hastens on that day with many services, prayers, and restrictions to have merits and be deemed worthy. Then freedom becomes available to them from the place where all freedom is in the hands of the Matronita, Malchut. That is, Malchut ascends to Binah and receives all the freedom in Binah. The king’s children, namely Israel below, who are her children given into her care, are all deemed worthy, all without sins and iniquities; then she is coupled with the king, in Light, in joy, in wholeness, and favor, for she has raised children for the supreme king as proper. That is, she adheres to the Right. However, before Israel receives purification and freedom from Binah, Malchut cannot couple with Zeir Anpin and receive from the Right. With this, the question of Rabbi Elazar, his son, is resolved.
