Hebrew translation:
324. רַבִּי חִזְקִיָּה פָּתַח, (שמות יט) לֹא תִגַּע בּוֹ יָד כִּי סָקוֹל יִסָּקֵל אוֹ יָרֹה יִיָּרֶה אִם בְּהֵמָה אִם אִישׁ לֹא יִחְיֶה בִּמְשֹׁךְ הַיֹּבֵל. וּמַה הַר סִינַי, שֶׁהוּא הַר כִּשְׁאָר הָרֵי הָעוֹלָם, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁנִּרְאָה עָלָיו כְּבוֹד הַמֶּלֶךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ כָּתוּב לֹא תִגַּע בּוֹ יָד כִּי סָקוֹל יִסָּקֵל אוֹ יָרֹה יִיָּרֶה – מִי שֶׁקָּרֵב לַמֶּלֶךְ לֹא כָּל שֶׁכֵּן. וּמַה הַר סִינַי, שֶׁיָּכוֹל אָדָם לְהוֹשִׁיט בּוֹ יָד דֶּרֶךְ כָּבוֹד בְּיִרְאָה, כָּתוּבּ בּוֹ לֹא תִגַּע בּוֹ יָד סְתָם, וַאֲפִלּוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ כָּבוֹד – מִי שֶׁמּוֹשִׁיט יָדוֹ בְּדֶרֶךְ קָלוֹן כְּנֶגֶד הַמֶּלֶךְ לֹא כָּל שֶׁכֵּן.

Rabbi Yossi said, “This is certainly true, for this Name, the Tetragrammaton (YHVH יהוה), is the faith of the higher and lower realms. All worlds stand upon it, and in a single small letter, the Yud (י), depend thousands upon thousands and myriads upon myriads of worlds of desire. Therefore, we have learned that these letters of the Tetragrammaton are interconnected, and many thousands and myriads of worlds depend on each letter, rising and connecting in faith, which is Malchut. Hidden within them is what neither the higher nor lower realms can grasp. The Torah depends on them, as do this world and the next, as it is said, ‘He and His Name are one.’ Therefore, it is written,
Psalm 39:2
“אָמַרְתִּי אֶשְׁמְרָה דְרָכַי מֵחֲטוֹא בִלְשׁוֹנִי אֶשְׁמְרָה לְפִי מַחְסוֹם בְּעֹד רָשָׁע לְנֶגְדִּי.”
“I said, “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.”
Ecclesiastes 5:5
“אַל תִּתֵּן אֶת פִּיךָ לַחֲטִיא אֶת בְּשָׂרֶךָ וְאַל תֹּאמַר לִפְנֵי הַמַּלְאָךְ כִּי שְׁגָגָה הִיא לָמָּה יִקְצֹף הָאֱלֹהִים עַל קוֹלֶךָ וְחִבֵּל אֶת מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ.”
“Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?”

Rabbi Hezekiah opened with the verse,
Exodus 19:13
“לֹא תִגַּע בּוֹ יָד כִּי סָקוֹל יִסָּקֵל אוֹ יָרֹה יִיָּרֶה אִם בְּהֵמָה אִם אִישׁ לֹא יִחְיֶה בִּמְשֹׁךְ הַיֹּבֵל הֵמָּה יַעֲלוּ בָהָר.”
“No hand shall touch it, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether beast or man, he shall not live; when the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.” He explained, “And Mount Sinai, which is a mountain like any other mountain in the world, and because the glory of the Holy King appeared upon it, it is written, ‘No hand shall touch it, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through.’ How much more so if someone approaches the king? Mount Sinai, which a person could touch out of respect and awe, is written, ‘No hand shall touch it,’ even for respect, how much more so for someone who extends his hand disrespectfully towards the king?”
