Song of Songs 8:6
“שִׂימֵנִי כַחוֹתָם עַל-לִבֶּךָ, כַּחוֹתָם עַל-זְרוֹעֶךָ”
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm;”

“Set me as a seal…” is the soul and the impression of the light in the body.

Genesis 28:12
“וַיַּחֲלֹם, וְהִנֵּה סֻלָּם מֻצָּב אַרְצָה, וְרֹאשׁוֹ, מַגִּיעַ הַשָּׁמָיְמָה; וְהִנֵּה מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים, עֹלִים וְיֹרְדִים בּוֹ”
“And he dreamed, and beholds a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

The Zohar brings Jacob’s dream here and explains that while the angels were going up the ladder to the Holy throne, they found out that Jacobs image is ‘carved’ under the Throne. It was like a seal of Jacob’s soul below. It made them feel fear and awe to Jacob.
