Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -487.

Tikkun 22 – 25

(Continue of Daily Zohar #486)

Song of Songs 8:6
“שִׂימֵנִי כַחוֹתָם עַל-לִבֶּךָ, כַּחוֹתָם עַל-זְרוֹעֶךָ”
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm;”

The Zohar continues to explain the different aspects of the ‘impression’ of the Light in Malchut. In this section we read about the effect of our prayers to bring down and reveal light. With the ‘Shema Israel’ prayer we connect the seal with the ‘paper’ which is the Torah and the letters are revealed. With the 18 blessings of the silent prayer we make the transfer of the ‘ink’, which is the light, to the imprinted level which is Malchut.

There are special points during our prayers that we bow down. When we bend our knees, bow down and stand erect again, we make the transfer of the light and reveal it.
It is like using a stamp to make an impression on a paper and when we come back up we reveal the letters/light and their energy.

In Genesis 46;4 we read
“אָנֹכִי, אֵרֵד עִמְּךָ מִצְרַיְמָה, וְאָנֹכִי, אַעַלְךָ גַם-עָלֹה ”
“I will go down with you into Egypt; and I will also surely bring you up again”

The last 3 words “אַעַלְךָ גַם-עָלֹה” are translated in English as “surely bring”, and this is far from the deep meaning. The root of ‘bringing back’ is עלה, which means “to elevate”. When we come back to the land of Israel, it is elevation. That’s why we call to process of moving to Israel, עליה, Aliyah, meaning ‘Elevation’.

In this verse God promises Jacob that he will go down to Egypt with him and will bring him back by elevating him above Malchut. The last word of the verse is עלה, which is על(above=100) – ה(H of Malchut)

Jacob brought the light of the central column to Egypt, which is the aspect of Malchut. After his descendants completed the work process of controlling Malchut, they made ‘Aliyah’ to the Torah on Mount Sinai and to the Land of Israel.
