Zohar Vayikra

#292
The Holy One, blessed be He, said to the Congregation of Yisrael: Leave aside what is Mine — that is, do not speak of the deficiency to Zeir Anpin, for what is Mine is a hidden matter that should not be revealed.
But if you do not know for yourself, regarding what concerns yourself, here is advice for you: “הַיָּפָה בַּנָּשִׁים” “O fairest among women” (Song of Songs 1:8) — that is, as it is said: “הִנָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי” “Behold, you are fair, My love” (Song of Songs 1:15), which is a name of the Congregation of Yisrael.
“Go forth by the footsteps of the flock” — these are the tzaddikim, who are trampled under the heels, meaning everyone tramples them with their feet, and for their sake, strength will be given to you to endure.
“וּרְעִי אֶת גְּדִיֹּתַיִךְ עַל מִשְׁכְּנוֹת הָרֹעִים” “And feed your kids beside the shepherds’ tents” — these are the schoolchildren (תִּינוֹקוֹת שֶׁל בֵּית רַבָּן), for whose sake the world exists, and they give strength to the Congregation of Yisrael in exile. “The shepherds’ tents” — these are the houses of their teachers, the place of the study hall, where the Torah is always found.
Notes:
In response to Malchut’s lament in exile, the Holy One, blessed be He, gives her counsel: Do not dwell on what concerns Me (the hidden deficiency in Zeir Anpin), but focus on what concerns you. He directs her to find sustenance and strength through two groups: the tzaddikim, who are constantly trampled yet sustain the world through their merit, and the innocent schoolchildren learning Torah, whose purity gives strength to the Shekhinah even in exile.
The study halls (“shepherds’ tents”) are the source of constant Torah, which nourishes and protects the Congregation of Yisrael during the long exile. This teaches that even in times of separation and apparent divine distance, the merit of the righteous and the pure learning of children provide the Shekhinah with the strength to endure until redemption.
