Tikkun 31 – 2

בְּרֵאשִׁית, “In the Beginning”, has the letters of בָּרָ”א שְׁתֵּ”י, meaning ‘Created two’. The Zohar brings here another explanation to the aspect of duality and opposites that exist in our world and life.

The story of Ruth is mentioned here as an analogy to the connection between the soul and body. The soul is Right column and pure side. The body is Left column and impure.

Ruth was from Moab and the aspect of left column. She came to the Holy Land to Beth-lehem , which is the aspect of Right column, to find sustenance and bring balance into her life. Bringing the left to the right earned her the letter ‘ה’ of Malchut and Binah. When it was added to her name רות+ה it spelled Torah and revealed the central column. She then met her ‘redeemer’, Boaz and from their marriage came the seed of Mashiach. (read more in DailyZohar #550 https://dailyzohar.com/?p=3803)

Ruth is the aspect of the soul that made pure connection to the body and created high energy of life. When the soul and body are separated it’s a state of death to the body and the soul is unable to channel light. The body and soul are two opposites and when they are joined together with purity they become a powerful mix.
