Tikkun 69 – 32
This Daily Zohar is continuation to DZ #790
Rabbi Shimon and the wise men that were with him asked the man, “Didn’t King Solomon (who is Koheleth) have different meaning to this verse?”
The man didn’t answer them but led them into seven palaces of silver, gold and precious stones. Each palace had seven thrones with four living creatures. And there, they saw a dove with a golden crown and on it was written “those who don’t understand הבלים “havalim” it is said on them (Numbers 1:51) “וְהַזָּר הַקָּרֵב, יוּמָת”, “and the common man that come close shall be put to death”
The word הבלים, is commonly and wrongly translated as “Vanities”. The true meaning of the word is ‘vapor’ and it is used to define the air that comes out of our lungs through the mouth. People use this word as a symbol to ‘insignificant words or sayings’. But the deep secret in the verse from Ecclesiastes is that vapor הבל is, as the Holy Ari teaches us, a light that comes from the process of forming the Tree of Life.
Without this vapor, we cannot utter even one word. A musician who plays the trumpet or the one that blows the Shofar cannot make a sound without bringing out vapor from inside of him.
Before you read the next section you should be warned not create any physical images in your minds. We use terms borrowed from this world to describe spiritual forces that don’t have any physical form.
(From The Tree of Life by the Holy Ari) Before the creation of the world, there was only Light that filled the entire existence and nothing else. Then, in order to create the world for man to exist, the Endless created a space for his new creation by distancing his light from a middle point equally to all directions (sphere), leaving empty space, which was the first vessel or Malchut of the Endless. There was only the plan or ‘blue print’ of what is going to be created inside the sphere. This plan is called Adam Kadmon (AK) and it has an image of a man with a long beard. His head is touching the Endless and legs reaching the middle point.
The first restriction of the Endless and AK happened in one timeless action.
The Endless includes everything in it so it cannot act in a form of sequence of events or process of time.
Then a line/pipe came down from the Endless to feed the entire sphere. From the face of AK came out 7 lights that are the 7 “havalim” הבלים, that are mentioned in Ecclesiastes.
King Solomon, who is Kohelet, wrote this book in his old age and he started by revealing the beginning of all beginnings, which is the thought of the Creator to the world for us.
“Vanity (1) of vanities (2), saith Koheleth; vanity(1) of vanities(2), all is vanity(1)”. Adding up the “vapors” we get 7 for the seven lower Sefirot.
The two eyes, two ears, two nostrils of the nose and one mouth. These lights created the four worlds of Atzilut י, Beriah ה, Yetzirah ו and Asiah ה (YHVH) below Adam Kadmon
From the mouth of AK came out the 22 letters and 10 lights to give us 32, which is the numerical value of לב, “heart” that is the aspect of the Torah.
The 10 sayings of creation, “And God said….” and the 32 times the name of God that is mentioned created the seven days with the lights of “vapor”, הבל that came from the mouth of AK.
The seven “havalim” from Ecclesiastes are the secret of the seven names with the 42 letters (Ana B’Koach Initials). Also the name YHVH יהוה and its spelling with the spelling of the spelling that result in 42 letters as below
It is also related to the two aspects of Keter and the two names of אהיה AHYH אשר אהיה , (Exodus 3:14) ‘I AM THAT I AM’ numerical value 21 times 2 equal 42.
The legless man showed them the secret of the verse that came from the wisest of all men, King Solomon. The 7 palaces (42 letters), the four thrones (YHVH), the 300 students (Three columns) and the table with great foods (expression of the light) were all the aspect of the upper worlds and the process of creation.
