Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -228.

Tikkun 19 – 8

The thought of the creator to create the material world formed a point, Y, י, opened with five extensions, H, ה, then extended as a line, V, ו up to the fifth level, Hod and formed the spiritual vessel. From that foundation the world was created.

That is the secret of Kamatz Katan (meaning small but big in the spiritual aspect) pronounced like the word כל, Kol, (menaing ‘all that…,’), relates to the Sefira of Yessod. It brings the light to Malchut like Keter bestows light on the Sefirot below it.

The line above represents the border between the unknown to the known that is defined with the name YHVH, the spiritual system below, and the element of time.

Kamatz represents Keter, Patch for Chokmah and Tzerei for Binah.

When the Kohen blesses the people he conceals his hands under the prayer Shawl. He starts with fists closed, then when he raises them above the level of his eyes and opens the palms, with five fingers in each hand in the aspect of the original five streams of light and the 10 fingers for the ten Sefirot.

The three verses that they recite from The Torah connect to the energy of the first time the light was initiated in the Menorah in the Tabernacle.

The hands are not just tools that help us do our regular activities; they are channels of Light and can draw down blessings from the supernal.

    Thank you Zion

    Opening our hands
is opening the channal of Light
    to malhout
    drawing down the light
    and when we shake hands..
    Five + Five makes 10 also ?

Is this Light the same universal life force I feel in my hands when I practice/experience the Reiki method of natural healing? Sometimes it’s with conscious effort and sometimes it is not. It just comes to my hands first and then I become aware of it because of the instensity of the feeling.

  3. Zion Nefesh Zion Nefesh says:

The energy in our world comes from the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad.
all spiritual systems can draw from either sides. Reiki or others. It is all depend on the consciounss of the channel (aka healer). The feeling can be intense for both good and bad channeling. If the conscious of the healer is to bring true and complete healing to the person then it comes from the Good side of the Tree and if not it comes from the Bad side.
    It’s all in the channel.
Since you are on the Daily Zohar your channel must be pure.

  4. Kae Kae says:

This morning, my daughter and I were wondering why we have five fingers on each hand. We were gazing at our hands and after many minutes, our hands seemed to looked odd to us. We began to laugh at our five “fringe-fingers” on each hand. I said, “There must be a kabbalistic explanation for these five fingers on each hand.” And this evening I read the Daily Zohar #228 and there was the explanation, the answer to our morning musings!

    Brilliance!

Thank you for channeling the light, and for the clarity of commentary. The Daily Zohar is allways illuminating and inspiring!

  5. A Simple Jew A Simple Jew says:

Kae, besides this, the shape and length of the five fingers is mind boggling. Imagine one finger longer or shorter, could we function that way? Imagine if the fingers would be thinner, would we be able to hold substantial weights? Besides, that the fingers would break every second day. Have you noticed that each finger can be bent in three, and each one of the three has a different function; a real all in one toolkit thunk up only by God, the master Creator.
