Zohar Vayechi
#77
Because of our sins the Holy Temple destroyed and the Holy Land became a waste. Happiness and the joyous celebrations of weddings turned to silence.
Jeremiah 7:34
“וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי מֵעָרֵי יְהוּדָה, וּמֵחֻצוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַם, קוֹל שָׂשׂוֹן וְקוֹל שִׂמְחָה, קוֹל חָתָן וְקוֹל כַּלָּה: כִּי לְחָרְבָּה, תִּהְיֶה הָאָרֶץ”
“And I will silence in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, for the land shall become a waste.”
Rabbi Shimon says that in the future, the Holy One Blessed be He will make a wedding canopy for every Tzadik in Jerusalem. The voice of bride and groom will come back when the Shechina returns and engaged with the King.
Songs 3:11
“צְאֶינָה וּרְאֶינָה בְּנוֹת צִיּוֹן בַּמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה בָּעֲטָרָה שֶׁעִטְּרָה לּוֹ אִמּוֹ בְּיוֹם חֲתֻנָּתוֹ וּבְיוֹם שִׂמְחַת לִבּוֹ”
“Go out, O daughters of Zion, and look upon King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, on the day of the happiness of his heart.”
The ‘day of his wedding’ is the day the Torah was given to us. The ‘day of happiness of his heart’ is the day when the Holy Temple is rebuilt.
The Torah is the aspect of Zeir Anpin, YHVH that entered a wedding with the children of Israel in Malchut. The Israelites use the Torah to make unification between the Shechina in Malchut and the light, Zeir Anpin.
The true ‘happiness’ in the heart would be when the Holy Temple is built to have a place for continuous unification of the Shechina and YHVH, providing nourishments for the entire world.

Genesis 48:6
“וּמוֹלַדְתְּךָ אֲשֶׁר הוֹלַדְתָּ אַחֲרֵיהֶם לְךָ יִהְיוּ עַל שֵׁם אֲחֵיהֶם יִקָּרְאוּ בְּנַחֲלָתָם”
“”And your homeland where your offspring that have been born after them shall be yours; they shall be called by the names of their brothers in their inheritance.”
The ‘homeland’ is Israel in Malchut. The children of Israel that were born after the Redemption to the patriarchs that are chariots, will have names after the names of their brothers in their inheritance.
#79
Rabbi Shimon explains that “Your homeland’ is the lower Jerusalem and the people that were born in Jerusalem. When the world return to be under the control of our master in heaven, meaning after the Final Redemption, the converts that will return to the homeland, will be called by the names of children of Israel, not by the names of their origins.
Lesson;
Rabbi Ashlag’s translation of these paragraphs is literal. It is a difficult to understand the deeper meaning of these paragraphs.
I can only add from other studies that Jerusalem is considered the middle point of Creation and the root for the whole world on the spiritual and material levels. The Holy Temple was built in Jerusalem for that reason, not for the city’s beautiful mountains.
Jacob had to stop at that exact point in the city where he had the famous dream. When he woke up, he called the place, a house of God and the Gate of Heaven.
He had 12 stones under his head that turned to be one. They represent the twelve tribes and our purpose is to be one people with God. The root of Israel that is the name of the land and the other name of Jacob, is in Jerusalem. All of our Israelites souls are connected there.
Many Israelites souls that were ‘rolled’ during several lifetimes to different corners of the world, will find themselves connected back to their roots in the Final Redemption. Those who were not born as Jews but have Israelites souls awoke by the light of the Zohar that connects them to their roots on the spiritual level and to Jerusalem and the land of Israel in the lower, corporeal level.
