Zohar Ha’azinu
#92
1 Samuel 2:3
“אַל תַּרְבּוּ תְדַבְּרוּ גְּבֹהָה גְבֹהָה יֵצֵא עָתָק מִפִּיכֶם כִּי אֵל דֵּעוֹת יְהוָה וְלוֹ נִתְכְּנוּ עֲלִלוֹת.”
“Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for YHVH is a God of knowledge, and by him, actions are weighed.”
Knowledge is ‘דעת’, ‘Da’at’. The verse uses Knowledge ‘דֵּעוֹת’ in a plural form and the Zohar explains that there are three types of Da’at.
Da’at that fills up all the lower levels. As it says in Proverbs 24:4 “וּבְדַעַת חֲדָרִים יִמָּלְאוּ כָּל הוֹן יָקָר וְנָעִים” “by knowledge (Da’at) the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches”
Da’at that is concealed but included in the body.
Da’at that spreads into the upper level of Zeir Anpin but not to the body.
When Chokmah and Binah in unification they form the Sefira of Da’at that spread the Light/Knowledge to Zeir Anpin that is the lower six Sefirot and from there to Malchut. The first state of Da’at is high and formed with the intention to spread its light to all levels below. When the Light of Da’at connects to Zeir Anpin, it is held at its top level, its head.

In the ‘Book of legend’ ‘Sifra D’Agadta’, the letters in the word for knowledge ‘דעות’ is rearranged to say ‘עדות’ that means ‘Testimony’.
Psalms 78:5
“וַיָּקֶם עֵדוּת בְּיַעֲקֹב וְתוֹרָה שָׂם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה אֶת אֲבוֹתֵינוּ לְהוֹדִיעָם לִבְנֵיהֶם”
“For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children,”
Jacob is the central column, Zeir Anpin that unifies the right of the Left columns. He is the ‘Testimony’ to the unification of Chokmah and Binah that is revealed in the Torah that is the aspect of Zeir Anpin.

Chokmah and Binah are the Father and Mother that bring life to Zeir Anpin and Malchut. Chokmah and Binah come from Arich Anpin, the Keter that all the levels below include in it. They are considered as garments for the Light of Keter.
Lesson;
Keter is the point where the Light of the Endless enters our world. Since our world was created with a process that limits the time, space and motion. The light from Keter restricts itself into a process that reveals its light using vessels that are called Sefirot. The Sefira of Chokmah is the first to receive the Light from Keter.
The meaning of the word Chokmah is Wisdom to tell us that everything is included in it. Wisdom has no limits. Chokmah needs to have a huge vessel to be able to receive the awesome Light of Keter that is why it is concealed. At the same time, Chokmah can’t hold this great light for long and transfers it immediately to Binah. Binah means ‘understanding’ and that is the process of receiving the wisdom for processing. Binah is called ‘Mother’ because she receives the Light from Chokmah, the Father that ‘impregnates’ her (with the seed of Light from Keter). Mother can ‘store’ the Light and give ‘birth’ to a son that is Zeir Anpin and a daughter that is Malchut.
Everything in life follows a similar process. The first thought has the aspect of Keter where we can see the entire process from beginning to end. Then we ‘digest’ the thought (Binah) and decide what to do with it. We may accept or reject the thought, Then we go into a process of ‘pregnancy’ that is the planning, development, and manifestation of the thought. ‘Birth’ is the aspect of female, Malchut, where we see the final outcome.
