#88
“Holy” is the highest and concealed aspect of every level. Chokmah is at the top and the secret of the letter י Yod of the Holy Name.
The letter Yod ‘floats’ above the baseline of the letters. It doesn’t have a ‘leg’ to spread down but nevertheless, the Yod, the Light of Chokmah spreads down through a fine and hidden path to the middle level that is Zeir Anpin. Since the Light shined in Zeir Anpin, the letter Vav ו of the Holy Name is revealed.
The Light of Vav continues down to Malchut that is the last of all the levels. When this light shines in Malchut, it reveals the letter ה H of the Holy Name and Malchut is in the state of Holiness, Kedusha.
#89
The first ‘holy’ is the supernal Father and Mother. They are called Holy because they are at the root of Holiness represented by the letter Yod. The question is why it is called Holy when the letter Vav is not there to provide the ‘tool’ for the Light to extend and spread down.

Isaiah 6:3
“And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is YHVH of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!””
When the Israelites sanctify themselves like the angels above and say “Holy, Holy, Holy” in their prayers, they connect to the Vav that is Zeir Anpin and elevate it to the supernal Father and Mother. This connection represents the first ‘Holy’. At this stage, Zeir Anpin receives the Holiness from Father and Mother and is called Holy. This is the second ‘Holy’. Then Zeir Anpin goes down back to its place.
When Yessod that holds the Light of Zeir Anpin delivers the Light to Malchut, we have the third ‘Holy’.
Lesson;
The roots of the Holy Level are always concealed.
During the Morning prayer, we go through three levels of Holiness. The first one is in the world of Yetzirah, just before the unification of the Shema Israel, we recite with the angels, “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh”. We sit at this stage because the angels are at the highest level and we do not want to ‘compete’ with them.
The second Kedusha is during the Amida (Standing like Vav), which is after elevating Zeir Anpin (world of Yetzirah) to the world of Atziluth. We receive the Light from the world of Atziluth (Chokmah). Because this is when we receive the Light we need a quorum of 10 men to have a proper vessel for this light.
Then we come down to the world of Malchut when we recite “ובא לציון” “and to Zion came…”.
‘Zion’ is Yessod as previously explained and here we say the third time “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh” to connect the lIght from Yessod to Malchut. After this step, we wrap up the prayer and protect it with the Ketoret and “Aleinu Leshabeach”.
This is how we connect ourselves to Holiness every morning.
