#187
In this secret, there is another secret: This spirit (Ruach) derives pleasure on this day from the enjoyments of Israel and their delights. For this reason, one must give pleasure through food and drink by having three meals on Shabbat, corresponding to the three levels of faith as it has been established (earlier in Parashat Yitro, sections 455-457 in HaSulam commentary). And this spirit receives joy and delight from these meals of Israel. Fortunate is one who brings pleasure and honors the Shabbat on this day!
#188
This spirit (Ruach) derives pleasure throughout the six weekdays from the supernal spirit of Atik, the most ancient of all ancients (עתיק דכל עתיקין). On Shabbat, since it descended and bathed in Gan Eden at night, it then receives pleasure from the delights of the body through the meal of Emunah (faith). This Ruach becomes adorned from above and below, and its place is found in all directions, meaning in Chokhmah and in Chassadim. It is crowned with the upper crown, which is Chassadim, and with the lower crown, which is Chokhmah.
Notes:
This teaches that Shabbat is the ultimate divine harmony, integrating the highest spiritual levels with the physical world. By engaging in both spiritual contemplation and physical delight, one fully activates the power of Shabbat, bringing divine unity into every part of existence.
