Daily Zohar # 4823 – Vayikra – May Hashem bless you from Zion

#204
He asks: What is “Kodesh” (Holy)? And he answers: It is a supernal place, which is Chokhmah, from which the source of the deep river, which is Binah, emerges—as it is written: “וְנָהָר יֹצֵא מֵעֵדֶן לְהַשְׁקוֹת” “And a river went out of Eden to water…” (Genesis 2:10). This means: The river is Binah, and Eden is that which is called the supernal Kodesh (holy). And because of this, it says: “שְׂאוּ יְדֵיכֶם קֹדֶשׁ” “Lift your hands toward Kodesh (holiness)” (Psalms 134:2)—That is, raise your hands toward Chokhmah, and from there receive a flow of holy abundance. And a person who does this and merits such a level—What is proclaimed about him? “יְבָרֶכְךָ ה’ מִצִּיּוֹן וּרְאֵה בְּטוּב יְרוּשָׁלִָם” “May Hashem bless you from Zion” (Psalms 134:3). That is:
You bless the Holy One, Blessed be He, from the place called Kodesh Elyon (supernal holiness), and He will bless you from the place called Zion so that you and the Queen (Shechinah) will both be blessed together.
Notes:
This passage teaches that true spiritual service involves more than praise: It is an act of connection and flow, where the human soul draws from the highest source and draws blessing to the world—together with the presence of the Shechina.
#205
Just as your connection—the connection between man and the Shechinah (in Malchut)—is together to praise the King, so too, from that very place where the Congregation of Israel is blessed—that is, from Zion, which is her Yessod of Malchut—from that same place blessings will be provided for you. As it is written: “May Hashem bless you from Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem” (Psalms 128:5). What is “טוּב יְרוּשָׁלִָם” “the good of Jerusalem”? It refers to those blessings that flow to her—to Malchut—from the King through the holy level called “Tzaddik,” which is the Yessod of Zeir Anpin. And regarding this it is written: “May Hashem bless you from Zion, and see the good of Jerusalem.” And all of this is one unified matter.
Notes:
This flow—from man’s praise to Divine response, through Zion, into Jerusalem (Malchut)—is not fragmented. It is one unified, cyclical reality of connection, flow, and mutual blessing.
“The good of Jerusalem” represents the spiritual abundance flowing from Hashem to Malchut through the Tzaddik (Yessod). All of this—your action, Divine response, and spiritual flow—is part of one unified system of Divine harmony.
This passage reveals that when we bind ourselves to the Shechinah in true service, we participate in the holy cycle of blessing and receive the very light and goodness we helped awaken.
