#212
The small letters — they are the twenty-two letters of the lower world, which is Malchut, which are: “אֵל בָּרוּךְ גָּדוֹל דֵּעָה” etc. And there is no space between word and word except one letter from the twenty-two letters inscribed in each and every word — that is, “אֵל בָּרוּךְ גָּדוֹל” etc.
And in the upper world — Binah — there is space and holy sides between letter and letter (as in Terumah, #104). For in the first (letter א) there are five words — that is, “אֵל אָדוֹן עַל כָּל הַמַּעֲשִׂים”; and in the second there are five words — “בָּרוּךְ וּמְבֹרָךְ בְּפִי כָל נְשָׁמָה”; and in the third there are four words — “גָּדְלוּ וְטוֹבוּ מָלֵא עוֹלָם” etc., as written there.
And this is praise upon praises: the supernal letters of the seventh day — which is Binah — praise and say to the supernal King, the Creator of the Beginning — which is Chokhmah (משבח ואומר למלך העליון יוצר בראשית), that is, the supernal point.
Notes:
The prayer’s sections (with varying word counts) reflect Binah’s praise ascending to Chokhmah (the supernal point/King), elevating Shabbat day through structured divine letters and union of the sefirot.
#213
When this praise ascends above, sixty supernal chariots in the Garden of Eden — which we mentioned above (#184) — unite and take this praise from the holy people, and elevate it to be crowned with it in several supernal chariots. The appointed ones and all the righteous in the Garden of Eden — all are crowned with this praise. And all these chariots and all these souls of the righteous — all ascend with this praise up to the secret of the Throne, which is Malchut.
Notes:
Sixty supernal chariots in Gan Eden receive the El Adon praise from Israel, elevate it, and use it to crown the appointed angels, the tzaddikim, and themselves. This collective elevation carries the praise upward through the chariots until it reaches Malchut (the Throne), completing the circuit of divine praise and unifying the lower and upper realms on Shabbat.
