The Tzizit has 13 triple links that equal to 39 wraps. These are significant numbers that reveal a spiritual connection. The 13 is the numerical value of אחד, ‘One’ and אהבה, ‘Love’. 39 numerically טל, means ‘Dew’ as in the upper name of Zeir Anpin יוד-הא-ואו. Adding 13 to 39 we get 52 that represents the name of the world of Action, עשיה with 9 letters יוד-הה-וו-הה. Everything together connects the Tzizit to the central column.
The Zohar tells us that every knot on the Tzizit is like a right hand that is all Chassadim.
The aspect of three in the Tzizit connects us to everything that is Holy. Four fingers of the hand have 3 parts/bone segments each. The thumb has only two bones but the measurement of the Tzizit is done with the thumb. The reason for that is that the thumb is the aspect of Keter and the head.
The measurements that use body elements have strong spiritual significance.
אמה, ‘cubit’ is a measure of the body to six directions, four sides plus up and down. Each cubit has three parts and together they make 18. This is the secret of the Lulav shaking that we do during the holiday of Sukkot. The Lulav is a Palm branch plus three species that connectus to the Ten Sefirot to draw the inner Light of Chassadim. 3 shaking to each direction equals to 18 and we do that four times while reciting the Hallel to bring the count to 72 times. It connects us to the root of the three columns of the Tree of Life.
