“And I saw as the colour of electrum, as the appearance of fire round about enclosing it”
The words of the prayer are in the secret of חשמל, ‘electricity’ and the aspect of people when they listen to the Torah reading. The people, like angels rush to listen to the Holy words as if they were on Mount Sinai receiving the Torah from God.
The Zohar reveals to us that when God uttered the first commandment on Mount Sinai, there was no other sound but his. For that reason, the Zohar says that when the Torah is read, the people should be silent. In that silence the people are surrounded with protection that isolates them from judgments and negativity that come to ‘suck’ their energy.
Exodus 20:14
“And all the people see the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the horn (Shofar)”
The people saw the voices and the lightenings because seeing is on the level of Chokmah. The ‘voices’ is the energy of the light that comes from Chokmah before it manifests through speech.
The message of the Zohar is simple. When we listen to the Torah we should be in total silence because the Light source is from a dimension that is beyond this world. In the silence we should expect to ‘see’ (connect through Chokmah) the Light of the Torah in our soul.
Try to influence the leaders of your congregation to implement total silence rule during the entire Torah reading. If the reader reads accurately with proper and pure consciousness then it would be an out of this world experience, meaning connection to Chokmah that transforms to Chassadim.
