Daily Zohar # 1318 – Pinchas – “I have loved thee with an everlasting love”
Zohar Pinchas, Vol. 20 (English)/Vol 15 (Hebrew)
The Malchut from the side of the Tree of Life that is opposite to the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad receives its light from Chokmah of the Right side that is Chessed. It comes out as endless flowing spring as is written in Isaiah 58:11
“וּכְמוֹצָא מַיִם, אֲשֶׁר לֹא-יְכַזְּבוּ מֵימָיו ”
“ like a spring of water, whose waters fail not ”
In this state of Chessed that is love, Malchut is called “אַיֶּלֶת אֲהָבִים” “hind (female deer) of love”
“אַיֶּלֶת אֲהָבִים, וְיַעֲלַת-חֵן:
דַּדֶּיהָ, יְרַוֻּךָ בְכָל-עֵת; ”
“A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times ”
A woman in the regular monthly cycle is in the aspect of Good and Bad. She receives (internally) energy of life with the development of a new egg and falls into ‘death’ when the egg is ‘flushed’ out. When a seed from a man, Zeir Anpin, is connected to the energy of life in the vessel, Malchut, the woman becomes “אַיֶּלֶת אֲהָבִים” “hind of love”. When the light is in the vessel, her breasts become like a spring flowing with energy of life, and the ‘bad’ cycle stops. This state continues until the woman keeps sharing that energy.
Sarah the matriarch, breast fed 400 children after delivering Isaac.
The secret is in Genesis 21:7 “And she said: ‘Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should give children (Plural form!) suck? for I have borne him a son in his old age.’”
The use of plural form tells us that Sarah nursed more than one child. The sages reveal that there were 400 children who came to see the miracle of Sarah’s giving birth at old age. She proved the miracle by nursing 400 children. Each one of them gave a coin that later was used by Abraham to buy the cave of the Machpelah.
“וְאַהֲבַת עוֹלָם אֲהַבְתִּיךְ, עַל-כֵּן מְשַׁכְתִּיךְ חָסֶד. ”
“ I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with affection (Chessed) have I drawn thee ”
