Zohar Shelah Lecha
Numbers 15:32
“they found a man gathering trees on the sabbath day”
As students of the Zohar and Kabbalah you know that when you come to the word tree in the Bible there is a connection to the Tree of Life. The verse above is from the story about Zelophehad, a man who was found ‘gathering’ trees on the Shabbat day. The trees mentioned here are the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad.
This story comes after the spies came back from touring the Land but without connecting to the Tree that Moses send them to find.
The Zohar explains that Zelophehad was trying to unify Malchut and Zeir Anpin in a way that Malchut would hold the energy of Shabbat at all times. He used the Hebrew letters and connections to the 70 ministers of the world of Malchut to bring the Shabbat to Malchut and make the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge equal. In trying to do so he corrupted the existing unification between Zeir Anpin and Malchut and for that he had to die.
Interesting thing is that Moses didn’t know what to do with him and had to consult with God.
On the surface it looked like Zelophehad was trying to bring more Light to the world. That is what Moses was not sure about. He saw only the positive side of the action and waited for God’s judgment. The outcome was negative and a correction had to come.
God gave the order to stone the man outside the camp. Stoning is a correction for people that use the letters and sacred texts for wrong reasons or improper use. ‘Stone’ אבן is another word to ‘letter’ because it’s a building block unit. It starts with the first two letters of the Hebrew Alef-Bet.
Many of us try to use ‘names’ and other sacred texts for personal benefits. We need to be very careful about it. I always recommend complete sacred text that is from the Torah or Zohar. This gives us safety and guarantees that we don’t use wrong or harming energy.
Spiritual energy can be positive and can be negative. Always be carefull from Evil Eye among other spiritual people. They have bigger vessels and if they channel energy it could be easily harming if it’s not coming from the positive side or pure consciousness.
