Daily Zohar # 2243 – Nitzavim – Will you stand with the righteous
.

Zohar Lech Lecha #332-335
In the beginning of Nitzavim Moses tells the people that God is making a covenant with them.
9 “You are standing today all of you before the LORD your God: the heads of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel, 10: your little ones, your wives, and the sojourner who is in your camp, from the one who chops your wood to the one who draws your water, 11: so that you may enter into the sworn covenant of the LORD your God, which the LORD your God is making with you today, 12: that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he promised you, and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 13: It is not with you alone that I am making this sworn covenant,
Deuteronomy 29:14
“but both with those who stand here with us today in the presence of the LORD our God and with those who are not with us here today”
The covenant was not only with the people who were standing there but also with all those who were not there.
The Zohar reveals that after righteous leave this world their souls ascend and the Holy One, Blessed be He, gives them a shape that is like the ‘garments’ they were dressed with in this world.
All souls exist on the spiritual level before the time they need to go down to the world. For that reason, all the souls existed when Adam was created and he could see them with his eyes.
‘Those who are not here with us today’, doesn’t refer to the future people to be born in the world but to all of the Israelites’ souls in existence. ‘Those who stand here’ means those who were physically standing there. Moses refers to the other souls ‘who are not here’ without using the word ‘stand’ because the people couldn’t see them as Adam could.
The Zohar explains that when the Torah was given to the people they saw the glory of God and couldn’t see anything else but him.
The covenant of God was made with all of us. We all witnessed the revelation of the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai and we should have it in our deepest desires to see the glory of God again when he reveals himself at the time of the Final Redemption.
With the Daily Zohar study we keep a constant connection to the spiritual levels because the Zohar discusses the aspects of the spiritual system. With the Zohar study, our souls are nourished with Light that gives us the merit to stand and see the revelation of God eye to eye.
Isaiah 52:8
“For they will see with their own eyes When YHVH restores Zion”
‘Zion’ is the aspect of Yessod where the Light connects to Malchut (Jerusalem).
