Zohar Lech Lecha

#93
Song of Songs 3:3
“מְצָאוּנִי הַשֹּׁמְרִים הַסֹּבְבִים בָּעִיר אֵת שֶׁאָהֲבָה נַפְשִׁי רְאִיתֶם.”
“The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me, And I said, ‘Have you seen him whom my soul loves?’”
The Holy One Blessed be He, made Jerusalem above like the one below, which is Malchut. Jerusalem has towers, walls, and opened openings.
Towers are the aspect of Malchut in a higher state. Walls are the aspect of Zeir Anpin and the gates are the aspect of Malchut. It’s the secret of three parts, head (Neshama), core/body (Ruach) and end/close (Nefesh).
The Jerusalem above is Binah that includes within it Malchut that is Jerusalem below. Whatever has an impact on Malchut below has an impact on Binah above.
The walls above, Binah and below, Malchut has watchmen and Michael the angel, is like the high priest stands above all the gates’ watchmen.

Isaiah 62:6
“עַל חוֹמֹתַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלַ‍ִם הִפְקַדְתִּי שֹׁמְרִים כָּל הַיּוֹם וְכָל הַלַּיְלָה תָּמִיד לֹא יֶחֱשׁוּ הַמַּזְכִּרִים אֶת יְהוָה אַל דֳּמִי לָכֶם.”
“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all day and all night they shall never be silent. You who put YHVH in remembrance, take no rest,”

Lesson;
The Letters in the YHVH name that represent Binah הH and Malchut הH are the same to tell us that there is a parallel between these levels. It was made this way so our vessels that is Malchut and aspect of Jerusalem below can connect to Binah that is Jerusalem above and draw sustenance to this world.
The watchmen watch the gates of the city and allow entrance only to those who are worthy of it. Only from within the city there’s access to head that is the Holy Temple and Binah.
The Zohar makes parallel to the three levels of the soul that we can achieve in this world. The level of Nefesh is the lower one and we all have it. To earn the level of Ruach and move in, we need to be worthy of it with positive actions. When we have the level of Ruach we are inside the city and benefit from its protection. We get easier access to Binah and achieve the soul level of Neshamah.

Those who visit Jerusalem are advised to go first to the Kotel, (the Western Wall) visit the Shechina and elevate their soul. The Zohar says that the Shechina never leaves the Kotel.
After the Kotel visit Tzadikim. They would be very happy and welcoming because of the connection to Jerusalem and the Shechina.
